Perforated Stainless Steel Cassettes for Ampoule Sterilization and Transport
The circular-perforated ampoule cassette is a fully welded process container featuring perforated side panels and base, engineered for intensive use in pharmaceutical cleanroom operations. The housing geometry and perforation layout are optimized to promote even distribution of sterilizing agents, steam and cleaning solutions while minimizing turbulence and stagnant zones.
The diameter of the circular openings is calculated to balance structural rigidity with fluid permeability. This configuration enables efficient processing during autoclaving, tunnel sterilization and washing cycles, reducing residual moisture retention and preventing localized thermal stress on glass surfaces.
The cassette is manufactured from AISI 304 or AISI 316L stainless steel depending on cleanroom classification and chemical exposure. All welds are executed using TIG (GTAW) technology with controlled heat input to prevent distortion and ensure dimensional stability. Post-weld operations include mechanical finishing and chemical passivation to restore the protective oxide layer and enhance corrosion resistance.
Internal transitions incorporate enlarged radii to eliminate contamination retention areas. The perforated structure facilitates rapid drainage after sanitation and accelerates drying, minimizing microbiological contamination risks.
The cassette is used in washing, sterilization, depyrogenation, inspection and intermediate storage areas. It is compatible with automated feeding systems, transfer lines and sterilization equipment.
