Personnel hygiene station with integrated sink, step-over bench and PPE storage module

The unit is a compact functional assembly intended to control personnel movement between areas of different cleanliness classes. The design integrates three key components within a single frame: a washing station, a step-over bench and a vertical storage module.

The solution is used at entrances to production areas with regulated hygiene requirements (pharmaceutical facilities, biotechnology lines, laboratories, filling and packaging areas).

The module acts as both a physical and behavioral barrier, enforcing a correct sequence of actions:

  1. Dirty side — placement of personal footwear and initial access
  2. Step-over transition — controlled body movement across the bench
  3. Clean side — donning clean footwear and hand sanitation

This approach prevents uncontrolled movement between zones and reduces the risk of particle and microbiological contamination transfer.

🔬 Functional components:

  1.  Washing station
    The sink is integrated into the upper section and features a sloped basin ensuring complete gravity drainage without stagnant zones. The configuration allows installation of elbow-, knee- or sensor-operated mixers and connection to a centralized supply of treated water.
  2. Step-over bench
    The bench acts as a physical separation barrier. Height is typically within 400–500 mm to ensure ergonomic and safe transition. The structure is designed for intensive use and withstands dynamic loads during daily operation.
  3. Storage module
