Stainless Steel Cassettes for Ampoule Loading and Transport
The stainless steel ampoule cassette is a fully welded process container featuring reinforced side walls and a formed base engineered to distribute mechanical loads from glass products uniformly. The body geometry and internal transition radii are optimized to minimize contact stress between ampoules, reducing the risk of microfractures and surface damage.
The cassette is used in washing, sterilization, depyrogenation, visual inspection and intermediate storage areas. It is suitable for both aseptic and non-aseptic environments and can be integrated into automated feeding and conveying systems.
Manufacturing material is AISI 304 or AISI 316L stainless steel, selected according to process validation requirements and chemical exposure conditions. Welds are performed using TIG technology with controlled heat input to prevent distortion and ensure structural integrity. Post-weld treatment includes mechanical finishing and surface passivation to restore the protective oxide layer and enhance corrosion resistance.
The design eliminates enclosed cavities, sharp internal angles and contamination retention zones. Smooth internal surfaces promote efficient drainage after washing and prevent moisture accumulation, minimizing microbiological risk.
Upon request, the cassette can be customized for specific ampoule diameters and heights, as well as load configuration and equipment interface requirements.
